Dr. Johri completed one year of post-doctoral training in economic assessment of health programs at Yale University (1999), and holds a Ph.D. (1997) in Philosophy (Ethics and Distributive Justice) from McGill University, a Master's degree (M.P.H. 1998) in Epidemiology and Public Health (with specialization in Health Policy and Economics) from Yale University, and a Bachelors degree (BA 1990 with joint honours in Economics and Philosophy) from McGill University.

Ted Schrecker, Principal Investigator

Stephanie Nixon
Stephanie Nixon has been an HIV activist, researcher and clinician for 12 years. She is an Assistant Professor in the University of Toronto Department of Physical Therapy, and a researcher with the Health Economics and HIV/AIDS Research Division (HEARD) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.

Thomas Pogge
Having received his PhD in philosophy from Harvard, Pogge has published widely on Kant and in moral and political philosophy, including various books on Rawls and global justice. He is Professor of Political Science at Columbia University, Professorial Fellow at the ANU Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE), and Research Director at the Oslo University Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature (CSMN). He is also editor for social and political philosophy for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science.

Kirsten Stoebenau
Kirsten Stoebenau completed her Ph. D 2006 at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg school of Public Health She is presently completing a CIHR Global Health Initiative postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Population Health, University of Ottawa. Her area of focus is The Social Organization of Women’s Sex Work in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Ryoa Chung completed her PhD in Philosophy at the University of Montreal in 2001 She is presently an aggregate professor associated with the department of philosophy of the University of Montreal. She completed two stays of post-doctoral research in the United States, Columbia University (2002) and Harvard University (2003).

Shree Mulay
Professor Shree Mulay completed her Ph.D. at McGill University and is currently the Director of McGill Centre for Research and Teaching on Women, and the Assistant Director for the Endocrinology and Clinical Biochemistry Laboratories at the Royal Victoria Hospital. She is recognized as an expert in research on women’s reproductive health, nationally and internationally.
